Steps to follow

  1. Scan Your Item:
    Once you receive your item, scan the QR code on it to claim it. Make sure to scan from an appropriate distance—typically 10-15 times the size of the QR code.
  2. Access the web app:
    After scanning, you will be automatically directed to the web app.
  3. Create or Log In to Your Account:
    If you're a new user, create an account. If you already have an account from a previous QR code purchase, simply log in.
  4. Set Up Your QR Code:
    Using the easy web interface, define the link to which your QR code will point. You can customize this to a memorial page or any other website of your choosing. 
  • If you want to link to an external memorial page or any external website, click on the Url/Link button:

  • If you want to create a Digital Memorial Page, click the "Create Page" button and you will come to a screen where you can add text, images, videos and upload pdf documents: You can include personal items like obituaries, memorial service speeches, poems, stories, or newspaper clippings that celebrate the achievements of your loved one.
Setting up the digital memorial page or digital tribute, is an easy process
  • Make sure that after having uploaded your content, you click the "Save" button. Wait for all content to be uploaded and go back ("Back" button in the upper left corner of your screen). 
  • Logout of the web application (clicking the profile icon in the upper right corner) and now you will see your Digital Memorial page when you scan your object.

Congratulations! You have now a working QR code with content visible when people scan your object.

Some other tips & tricks:

Tip 1: If you are working on a computer,  and you want to see the content of the link your QR code points to, copy the link of the QR you see when you are logged into our web app. 

Make sure you log-out and then go to the link you just copied.

Tip 2: To ensure you can quickly go back to the web app and modify your QR code (or see how often it was scanned), here's what we advise:
  • Bookmark the page in your browser or Add to favorites on a mobile phone
  • On the Forever Connected website, you find the MyQR menu that brings you to the web app
  • Adding Rainbow Rebels Web App to your mobile phone's Homescreen
